Comprehensive Election Datasets (Compressed Format)

Each compressed (.zip) file contains all of the available election data reported by the indicated vintage of voting districts (VTDs). For example, the data from each election included in the 2022 General Election VTD dataset is reported by 2022 general election VTDs. Each dataset can be joined to the corresponding VTD geographic layer available for download from the VTDs collection (https://data.capitol.texas.gov/dataset/vtds).

These election datasets are developed and compiled by the Research Division of the Texas Legislative Council for redistricting purposes.They are derived from election returns provided by the counties and the office of the secretary of state. There may be small differences between the data presented here and official election results.
